The Football Association of Wales (FAW) National Football Development Centre Extension at Hensol has been shortlisted for Commercial Development of the Year at the Insider Media Wales Property Awards 2026 – recognising the project’s contribution to the future of Welsh football infrastructure.

Delivered by Willis Construction, the £3 million extension forms Phase Two of the FAW headquarters development and provides enhanced facilities for the Cymru National Teams, supporting elite-level preparation, training, and day-to-day operations.

Designed to create a high-performance environment, the project was delivered within a fully operational live site, with FAW staff and national teams continuing to use the facility throughout construction.
