Design and Supply is pleased to announce the successful completion of a management buy-out, securing the long-term future of the business and continuing its commitment to UK manufacturing from South Wales.
The business is now led by long-standing management team members Tom Grother, Scott Davies and Damien Regis – a team that has played a key role in the company’s growth and day-to-day operations for many years.
For nearly 40 years, Design & Supply has manufactured specialist steel doorsets from its facility in Merthyr Tydfil, supplying projects across the commercial, public-sector, infrastructure and utilities sectors throughout the UK.
The management buy-out represents a continuation of the company’s strong history of local leadership and long-term investment in both its people and manufacturing capabilities.

The transaction was supported by the Development Bank of Wales through funding from the Wales Business Succession Fund and Wales Flexible Investment Fund.
The new ownership team will now focus on continuing to strengthen Design & Supply’s manufacturing capabilities, expanding its product offering, and supporting customers across increasingly complex and specialist projects.
As the business enters this next phase, Design & Supply remains committed to the values that have shaped the company over the last four decades — quality manufacturing, technical expertise, and long-term customer relationships.
