Installation Terms & Conditions  

Our quotation is based on work being carried out under the following conditions:  

 

  • Our standard hours of work on site are between 7.30am and 4pm weekdays, if any extra hours are required this needs agreeing in writing.  
  • All openings must be rigid and capable of taking door weight with finished floor levels in place or datum’s clearly indicated. Failure of the structural opening being capable of supporting our product is the responsibility of others.  
  • Openings must be clean and free of any debris that could impede the installation.  
  • Preparing, adjusting, bridging open cavities/floors, making good or reinforcing inadequate openings, which are outside our tolerances, must be carried out by others. In the event of us removing original doorset(s), we cannot be held responsible for poor opening/cavities that prevent us installing the door.  
  • Access to the openings must be made clear to allow transport of the doorset(s).  
  • The consignment must be checked against the delivery note and any damage or missing items noted prior to transport leaving site. Failure to do so may result in additional charges for repair/replacement.  
  • We require a 240v charging point for battery charging and an 110v within 20m of our working area.  
  • If there is a forklift on site we may require the use of this (including driver) to help offload, if no forklift is available we may require, for a short time, help offloading the doorset(s).  
  • If we are installing multiple items please ensure there is a secure storage area we are able to use unimpeded as once delivered the doorset(s) are the clients responsibility to ensure there safe and dry storage unless we are handling the doorset(s) for installation.  
  • Any scaffold within 1.5m of the opening must be suitably removed to allow the doorset to be hung and swing freely during the installation process.~  
  • We must be made aware of any restrictions on site i.e transporting goods, site access, noise restriction etc.  
  • Any waiting times over 60 minutes will be chargeable at our standard day rate due to exceeding safe working time limits (day rate is dependent on distance).  
  • Please ensure all permits, RAMS, MS & any Health & safety, to work are arranged prior to our arrival as any delays will be chargeable at our day rate.  
  • Once the doorset is installed we will immediately seek our point of contact to sign off the doorset, at this point the doorset will then be your responsibility.  
  • Any tampering with the doorset(s) will invalidate the warranty on the doorset and if we are required to attend site this will be chargeable at a full day rate.  
  • If there are any electronic components on the doorset these must be commissioned by your trained personnel whilst we are on site, failure to do so will void us of any responsibility.  
  • You must notify us within 7 working days if the opening is higher than external ground level by more than 300mm to allow us to re price, and plan, installation to allow for this.  
  • This quotation has no allowances for plant or skips hire unless otherwise stated.  
  • Unless otherwise stated, this quotation is based on one continuous visit to site, if phases of installation is required you must notify us in writing so we can re price.  
  • If we are masticing around the door frame(s), unless stated at time of order, we will be using anthracite grey mastic. Fire rated mastic is white by standard.  
  • In the event of an installation cancellation, we require notification within 3 working days. Failure to notify us will require you to pay the full day rate for the duration of days stated on the original quotation.  

 

Please assume anything not mention above is deemed to be by others, alternatively a call to the writer can confirm if extra over costs can be provided.  

 

Extra-over requirements must be confirmed in writing by main contractor, verbalinstructions
